ACMI – Deep In Vogue : FASHION ON FILM

MSFW2012_200

Can you believe another Melbourne Spring Fashion Week has come and nearly gone? The fashion sphere moves so quickly, and you have got to keep up with the momentum if you desire to be a part of the pack. And what better way to extract knowledge, than from the elite themselves. The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is proud to present it’s fourth annual Fashion On Film collection, as part of MSFW. And you’ve only got today and tomorrow to still check out the fabulous array of films showcased this year – so make sure it’s at the top of your weekend priority, because these are some truly wonderful films on offer.

Taking you through the looking glass that is Paris Fashion Week, one particular film captured my attention, as I am sure it will yours. Dressed For Winter is presented by the uber fabulous French TV presenter and producer Mademoiselle Agnes. A little bit tongue- in- cheek, a little bit silly but defintiely high end, this documentary takes you behind the scenes and up close and personal with designers and labels such as Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Balenciaga, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Paco Rabane – the list goes on! A fascinating film – but be sure to brush up on your French and celebrity-fashion-world spotting; this film is full of such gems that will make you sit forward and gasp in amazement.

Other films available to view today are:

FASHION PACK : GO Global

Visionaries: Inside The Creative Mind of Tom Ford

Go forth and surround yourself with fashion!
