HOTEL REVIEW – Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel

Discovering the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel was a dream come true, as it honestly ticks all the boxes for a all-encompassing Sydney stay. There are so many things to love about this hotel, and the list is quite extensive! Staying over both Australian Fashion Week and Vivid meant that the hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of the action, and I was lucky enough to experience Sydney in all her events glory! Located just metres from Circular Quay on Pitt St in my favourite part of Sydney – by the water.  It’s so close to the action of the sparkling harbour, the CBD, restaurants, bars, museums, libraries and the stunning botanical gardens.

The rooms are wonderful with breathtaking views. You can choose from a Harbour Bridge or Sydney Opera House view; I personally love the latter as an iconic piece of Sydney architecture. Seeing the sails change colour with the sun is absolute magic. The views are simply spectacular and you can see out over the CBD and across the water and out to the Botanical Gardens. You may not want to leave your room, the view is that enticing. The room certainly had all the things I look for in a hotel stay – amazing views with big windows, king-sized bed, armchairs, safe, bath tub, usb port and full-length mirror for all my fit checks during fashion week. Big Tick!

In terms of amenities, the hotel boats a gorgeous indoor pool, meaning you can enjoy it no matter the weather, and a fully kitted out gym. With both a bar and restaurant on-site (Three Bottleman and Silvesters Restaurant respectively), you can head down for a casual dinner or pre-drink if you’re heading out, which is super convenient and in a lovely setting. The buffet breakfast is sublime – I’m talking about a real culinary breakfast treat, complete with chef prepared meals (think made-to order omelettes), bagel bar (my fave!), charcuterie, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, breads and pastries, pancakes, eggs done all ways and every other brekkie delight you can think of! I was also spoilt with a bottle of bubbles on arrival and a themed Vivid dessert platter, complete with light up fairy floss.

The front of house staff were so lovely and attentive. Given how busy the hotel can get at peak times (note the only downside to this is how long the elevators can take), there was always someone to assist with warmth and a smile.

I loved my stay at the Sydney Harbour Marriott and cannot wait to return again soon.
