Melbourne Town Hall was lively and energetic on Saturday night as excitement grew among fashion lovers for the Refined Edit Runway.

The soft glow of lights and haze provided the perfect backdrop for the evening’s event. The air was filled with anticipation as attendees eagerly awaited the showcase of a premium lineup of Melbourne designers – featuring Asiyam, Bianca Spender, Christine On Collins, Clea, Gail Sorronda, Gary Bigeni, Maara Collective, Mariam Seddiq, Nevenka and Ngali.

The show commenced with a performance by Mindy Meng Wang (王萌), a Chinese/Australian avant-garde composer, and Tim Shiel, a contemporary artist, both based in Melbourne. Together, they skilfully integrated sonic and visual elements that carried throughout the show and created an enchanting atmosphere and an evocative tone for the runway that mesmerised the audience.

Key runway edits displayed delicate details, structured silhouettes and tailored pieces. Christine on Collins’ collection showcased a stunning array of deep, dark hues with flowing capes that evoked a captivating vampiric elegance. Each piece was designed to exude a sense of mystery and drama; perfectly embodying the dark romance of the theme.

Mariam Seddiq’s collection was filled with dramatic flair, showcasing a blend of formal attire that radiated elegance. Structured silhouettes added a sense of sophistication, while bold statement pieces captivated attention, making each outfit unforgettable.

CLEA featured indulgence in a collection of luxurious – expertly tailored contemporary garments for occasions that perfectly embody elegance and refinement. Each piece was designed to seamlessly merge style and sophistication. 

Bianca Spender presented a stunning collection of contemporary dresses that beautifully highlighted a minimalist aesthetic while incorporating sharp, modern edges. Each piece was meticulously crafted, showcasing clean lines and unique silhouettes that redefine elegance in simplicity.
