With strong yet feminine tailoring, clean lines and a soft palette coupled with high-quality materials and a modern yet ethereal glow to her creations, Melbourne based designer Kacey Devlin, has just been announced as the winner of the prestigious National Design Award (presented by David Jones and supported by Harper’s BAZAAR). There is an innocence and sexiness to Devlin’s sleek designs; a uniqueness to the cut and tailoring that displays drop waists, precise pleats and barely sheathed backs, where material drapes and flows with a beautiful fluidity.

Devlin joins the ranks of past winners Toni Maticevski, Romance Was Born, macgraw and Dion Lee. Her prize is a total package worth $100,000 – which includes $15k ‘cash money’, a look book styled by Harper’s BAZAAR and an opportunity to show her winning collection on the Gala Runway at VAMFF on March 14, presented by David Jones and supported by VOGUE.
