As part of the VAMFF Fashion Weekend, presented by the City of Stonnington, a runway show was held at the beautiful Malvern Town Hall to launch the Autumn/Winter Fashion Season. Featuring designer collections from the precinct’s most sought after stores, the event opened with dynamic outfits from Diesel, including key trends of stripes, ruffled dresses, deep burgundy and powder blue bomber jackets.
There was relaxed yet chic military style at Monte Establishments, as well as a gilded snow-day look of metallic gold maxi skirt, gold thread quilted detail jacket and fur pom pom adorned beanie.
Bright and bold tulip skirts of amber and gold dominated at Detail, alongside long bright white layers and chunky silver accessories.
Anna Hoffman featured coats for the new season in trending powder blue, plus a stitck detail jeans and shirt combo that was ‘oh so cool’ (as is model Chloe Worthington that was donning said look).
Arya packed a punch with a striking black, white and red striped and oversized pant suit, as well as delivering some knockout ensembles and featuring the wide brimmed hat style of the moment – the Fedora (which features a curve in the crown, and not boxed like the Gaucho, although we think that style is a key trend too), which we love! There was also crimson velvet (yes!) and luscious leather, more key trends for the season ahead!
Odeya showed us some comfy/cool in this grey marle sweater with mustard edging that complimented the gold and yellow accessories perfectly.
Sexy underwear as outerwear is a trend that is still going strong, even when the weather gets chillier, as Sambag Sydney displayed with models donning lacy numbers and silk slips coupled with snuggly wools, cosy cashmeres and soft leathers.
TORANNCE was another standout that signified all of the key trends for A/W 17, with an opening outfit of a gold snake skin mini skirt, crisp white ruffles shirt and classic Fedora hat (showcasing this as the hat to wear with everything!). TORRANCE showcased gorgeously flowing maxis, fringe detailing and lots of leather too.
Moss & Spy was our lucky last fave designer and showcased some gorgeous sheer and embellished dresses to bring glamour to the colder months (worn with either heels or flat boots and a fedora, of course!), as well as dark florals to bring some drama to your wardrobes.
